This is one of our most important features. In the event of any electronics service requirement, General will provide a complete “swap out” set of electronics. Simply disconnect the existing electronics assembly, contained in a single NEMA cabinet) and we
will ship you a replacement cabinet. This replacement is pre-calibrated and ready to run. Send us the original cabinet and that’s it!

Preloaded linear bearing and rail system
A preloaded rack of bearings on the X,Y and Z axis provides for years of trouble free operation. This is the very best bearing assembly for this type of cutting operation and never requires adjustment.

Rack and pinion power transmission on X and Y axis, ball screw transmission on Z axis
Rack and pinion power transmission provides excellent accuracy and allows for rapid traversing speeds during cutting operation on X and Y axis planes. This maintains positional accuracy of .004. We provide ball screw transmission on the Z axis to ensure
consistency in cutting depths to less than .001.

T-Slot/MDF Table Surface
General offers a standard T-Slot table surface which provides excellent hold down capability to secure your work piece during cutting operation. The sacrificial MDF surface can be milled to provide a perfectly flat cutting surface to ensure quality work
every time. It is also extremely economical to replace.

Most wear components are non proprietary and available through local suppliers
General has built these machines with service in mind. Most major mechanical components such as bearings and gearing are “off the shelf” and available through local supply sources. This ensures that you will always have readily available parts and that
the replacement cost of those parts will not be excessive as can be the case with proprietary replacement components.
