The RJ01W has a variable speed motor with 0-3,300 strokes-per-minute with a ½" length stroke to provide faster cutting. The saw performed faster than leading competitor when cutting 1-1/2" PVC pipe and 1" EMT. The "tool-less" blade change system allows for faster blade installation and removal for increased productivity. The dual-position on/off switch – exclusive to Makita – allows for either paddle switch or trigger switch operation for increased versatility. The compact size (14" long, 2.6 lbs.) is engineered for convenient one-handed operation. The RJ01W is a kit and includes the 12V max Recipro Saw, 2 ea. recipro saw blades, one ENERGY STAR qualified battery charger, and two 12V max Lithium-Ion batteries.
