The tool has an integrated collet with a 1/4" Collet Insert (01485) and the optional 52898 Thread Guard allows for easy access to the collet cap. With the Thread Guard in place, larger diameter accessories can be used with the tool, as long as they have a maximum operating speed of 25,000 RPM. This high-efficiency rotary vane air motor tool is great for precision deburring and finishing on various surfaces. It is particularly effective on cast parts made of aluminum, bronze, and brass, quickly and efficiently removing gates and parting lines. The tool's speed can be adjusted from 5,000 RPM to 25,000 RPM by rotating the rear black cover. The shaft end of the tool has a tactile grip for fingertip control and to alert the operator to the rotating collet area. Changing attachments is easy with a two-wrench maneuver. The unique housing shape allows the tool to be held like a traditional Die Grinder.
