The Makita 40V max XGT 3-Speed 1/2" Hammer Driver-Drill (GPH03) is Makita’s most powerful Hammer Driver Drill delivering 1,590 in.lbs. of max torque with a three speed transmission. The GPH03 breaks new ground for the most demanding drilling and driving applications in wood, masonry and metal. The hammer-drill mode applies a percussive motion for drilling holes in concrete or masonry.

The GPH03 features an electronic digital clutch that accurately targets the desired torque range during fastening (41 settings in low speed, 30 settings in medium, 21 settings in high). It features faster drilling speeds with 3 speed settings (0-650 / 0-1,800 / 0-2,600 RPM) (0-9,750 / 0-27,000 / 0-36,000 IPM).

The 3 Speed Hammer Driver Drill features Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT), which turns the motor off if rotation of the accessory is suddenly forced to stop. It also features twice the working speed without overloading batteries in Medium Speed.

The GPH03 features a redesigned side handle that provides stability and grip under heavy torque applications to maintain control. It also features an all-metal chuck for increased job site durability and a reinforced gear housing that is engineered for maximum job site durability.

The GPH03 is a workhorse tool engineered to outlast with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) to provide increased dust and water resistance in harsh jobsite conditions. A reinforced gear housing and all-metal chuck provide additional durability. An LED job light provides wider illumination from the base-mounted position
