The 18V LXT Quick-Shift Mode 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT21) features premium fastening power, delivering 1,860 in.lbs. of max torque with 4 Speed Settings. The efficient brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for longer run times.

The XDT21 features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 3,700 Max RPM and 1,860 in.lbs. of Max Torque. It features 4-speed power selection (0-1,100/ 0-2,100/ 0-3,200/ 0-3,700 RPM & 0-2,000/ 0-3,600/ 0-4,200/ 0-4,400 IPM) providing precise fastening control for a wide range of applications. It is engineered with a dual ball bearing chuck to reduce bit wobble and run out.

The 4-Speed Impact Driver features Quick-Shift Mode and utilizes the brushless motor’s electronic controls to find the best balance of speed and torque for each application for more efficient fastening. It also features Tightening Mode (T-Mode) for faster tightening of self-drilling screws in thin gauge metal, which helps prevent damage to the screw or workpiece.

Convenience features include a rubberized soft grip that provides increased comfort on the job, convenient one-touch 1/4" hex chuck for quick bit changes, and built-in L.E.D. lights with preglow and afterglow functions.
