Makita XOB03Z 18V LXT 1/3-Sheet Cordless Finish Sander

The Makita 18V LXT Brushless Cordless 1/3 Sheet Finishing Sander offers all the power and control of a corded version but without the cord. It offers a 1/16” orbiting action with faster sanding that is engineered for a swirl-free finish. There are three-speed settings at 4,000, 8,0000, and 12,000 Orbits Per Minute (OPM) that can be selected through a convenient one-touch speed control, while the battery and motor locations are engineered to reduce flutter for a more evenly finished surface. It can be connected to the Makita Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) utilizing Bluetooth for wireless start/stop communication between the sander and an optional dust extractor (sold separately).

It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is a communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
