This past November Makita announced the continued expansion of its range of tools powered by two 18V batteries with the new 18V X2 LXT® (36V) Brushless 14" Cut-Off Saw (XWL01). The XWL01 is the world’s first cordless cut-off saw, engineered for cutting light gauge metals including pipe, all thread, conduit, tubing, rebar, light gauge metal stud and Uni-strut®.Maximum Cordless Performance
Powered by two 18V LXT batteries, the XWL01 delivers maximum cordless performance with 3,800 RPM and cutting capacity of 5” (round) and 4” x 7-5/8” (rectangular tubing). In run-time testing the XWL01 delivered up to 104 cuts in 20 gauge metal stud (1-1/4” x 3-5/8”) using two 18V 5.0Ah batteries.
